We decided to travel a little further away from Marshfield to put on a charity concert in the village of Biddestone. The lovely little church of St Nicolas was the venue, and we were joined by the local Biddestone singers as guests. An excellent performance by all was well received by the audience, and we look forward to visiting again in the future.

A large and very appeciative audience made this a very successful evening.

Spring concert in St Mary Church, Marshfield

Our Spring concert at Marshfield Church in April, was once again very well supported, and we were delighted to be joined by  James Warren & Sam West, who both gave excellent performances. Thanks to them for helping us to donate £200  to  the Church and also to donate the same sum through Frances Gammie & Catriona Mangham to the RUH Forever Friends Appeal.

Our first competition!  This year we entered this Festival to compete against a number of choirs from Britain and Canada. Some of these were much larger than us, but we put on a superb performance to achieve a splendid result!

This new Festival came about when the German-Canadian Male Chorus of Calgary wanted to come and compete against others in the UK. The event was  hosted by Brighton Male Voice Choir, who ensured that the competion and the evening Gala ran smoothly, and provided both exciting competition and entertainment for all.

MMVC has a tradition of putting on a Springtime concert to support local organisations. This year, we decided to move a little further afield and support St Mary's Church in Burton, Wiltshire.  This lovely church was a splendid setting for a well-received concert that raised a considerable sum for the church. We were supported by the wonderful Luanna Godwin, who once again delighted the appreciative audience

Christmas Concert at NT Dyrham Park

We had another opportunity to sing to celebrate Christmas in  St Peter's Church. We gave two performances of a mix of carols and Christmas songs to a very appreciative audience. Our thanks to Luana Godwin and Kaija Brunyate who supported us. We hope our performances warmed people up, as it was a particularly cold day!

We were invited by The Carers Centre to sing in the United Reformed Church in Bath. This is a beautiful building, with excellent facilities for concerts.  We performed a varied program, supported by guest soprano Luana Godwin. There are a selection of photos taken by Gary Smith from this event which can be seen by going to the About Us page, and selecting the link.

Concert on 14th October 2016 in Holy Trinity Church, Combe Down, Bath, in aid of the Peggy Dodd Centre.

It was a real pleasure to be asked again to perform as guests at Gilly Wells' concert.  Her autumn concerts have become popular events that are always  well supported by a large audience, and this was no exception. An excellent evening's entertainment, and we love having Gilly join us on a number of songs. She certainly adds a new exciting dimension to songs like "An American Trilogy"!

A large numbers of visitors were able to listen to us and seemed to highly appreciate our performances.

Along with the Marshfield Ladies Choir, the Ladies Barbershop and Luana Godwin we sang in a joint concert to celebrate HM Queen's 90th birthday. We sang a varied selection of songs from the many decades of her life. This was another excellent concert that was well supported and enjoyed by all.

Concert in St Mary's Church

Marshfield

It has become a tradition now for us to stage a charity concert at St Mary's Church in springtime. This year we were pleased to have guest performers Luana Godwin and Alex & Theo Part to join us. Whilst most of the music performed was typical of what we do, it is certainly the first time that Alex & Theo's rap music has been performed in the church! It received raptuous applause and created a real buzz of excitement. It's great to give young people new opportunities like this.

Gilly has sung with us at a number of our concerts.  We were delighted to be asked to sing at her Late Summer Concert in Tormarton Church. Gilly sang several songs with us, culminating in a thrilling performance of American Trilogy that was enthusiastically received by the audience, demanding an encore!

Once again we were asked to sing at Dyrham Park for Father's Day. This year the house is having major repairs to the roof, and we  were delighted to have the opportunity to perform at the very top of the scaffolding which must be the most unusual place we have ever sung! We sang in several other parts of the property and were well received by the visitors.

Our Spring concert at Marshfield Church in April, was once again very well supported, and we were delighted to be joined by  Gillian Wells & Rebecca Snell, who both gave excellent performances. Thanks to them for helping us to raise over £600 which has been donated to the Church and to the Chapel where we practise throughout the year.
